Includes a charming recreated letter to Tasha from "Sylvie-Ann" who was a young reader. The blue linen book is NEAR FINE: sharp, tight, crisp and clean with no writing (other than Tudor's), no tears and no page folds. The very good white jacket has a few spots/smudges (more so on the back cover) and still has the original "pumpkin colored" ribbon tied to it! I didn't note any tears. Although there is no pre-printed price on the jacket, there is a price-sticker of "29.95" on the back flap which I think was the original price from Jenny Wren (book was acquired from a collector who lived near The Jenny Wren Press in Mooresville, Indiana). The white background jacket states "The 55th Anniversary Edition" on the cover. including the hard-to-find recreated "Dear Tasha" letter! Signed delicately on the title page "T. SIGNED VINTAGE 55th Anniversary Edition published by The Jenny Wren Press courtesy of Random House in 1993.
